Juggling Priorities - A Framework for Life
A discussion on spinning plates, priorities, and multi-tasking in general
Picture this, you’re 25 years old living in a major city, pulling in 6 figs. It’s Monday you’re trying to plan your week, and you’re struggling to balance all of your priorities.
You have a project due by EOW that you’ve put off until the last minute, you haven’t made progress on your WiFi business since the start of the year, and that’s weighing on you. You’re trying to fit in a few workouts and one or two yoga classes, and you have FOUR different potential dates lined up for this week.
OR
You’re in your thirties, you’re married, you’ve just had your second kid, and you’re trying to balance being a present parent, your job, your health, and a little bit of a social life. Not to mention, the two toddlers have wrecked your sleep, so you barely have the patience to deal with the challenges of daily life.
What the hell do you do? How do you manage this?
In general, once you figure out EXACTLY what you want out of life, it becomes pretty easy to mindlessly execute. Juggling life’s responsibilities/interests becomes a menial task, after all, our brains are wired for patterns. Once you develop something that works, all you have to do is repeat and improve on the process.
The challenge, however, is getting to that point where you are clear on what your priorities are.
