Why Chase When You Can Be Chased?
You can catch flies with honey, but you can catch more honeys being fly.
One of the BIGGEST mistakes beginners make when they first meet someone new is chasing.
You’re head over heels, you’re frantically checking your phone for notifications, and you find yourself doing everything possible to get them to like you.
WRONG.
You’re texting her “good morning gorgeous,” you’re sending her flowers, yet all you get back is a ❤️ on your imessage.
WRONG WRONG WRONG
Why are you the one doing all the chasing? Why is she the prize? Have you ever considered why you think she’s so special?
Let me give you a quick story from one of our readers that’ll make it clear what I’m talking about:
Joe Blow was a relative beginner to dating. 28, only 1 serious relationship in college, and a typical social life.
He matched with a girl on Hinge, someone that he thought was out of his league,
Enter Jane Doe.
They met at his gym.
She was seemingly perfect: funny, smart, and attractive.
He was hooked.
On their first date, she was an hour late and complained about the waiter the entire time.
He shrugged it off. "She's just having a bad day," he thought. Wrong.
Next date, she showed up drunk and spent most of the time on her phone. Jake convinced himself it was a one-time thing.
The craziest date was when she invited him to a dinner party at her place. He arrived to find her screaming at her roommates over who ate her vegan ice cream while downing shots of tequila. Still, he pressed on, convinced he could make it work.
The final straw? Emily invited him to a "pregame" which turned out to be a poorly organized mess with her ex-boyfriend and his buddies.
The next morning, hungover and humiliated, Joe realized he was sacrificing himself for someone who was a walking disaster. It wasn’t her; it was his own denial.
Lesson learned: don’t overextend yourself, especially for glaring red flags. Some things just aren’t worth it—no matter how hot she is.
Now that you get it, let’s get into the details:
